By the end of the 1990s, the world of porn was in crisis.
There were new rules about sex, like the requirement that performers wear condoms, and the rise of “the digital camera.”
Even the industry itself, once known for its gritty, gritty, dirty, sensual, and sensual-to-femme-friendly sensuality, had become more casual.
In 1998, a young actor named Antonio Banderas was fired for having a “drama-like” sexual relationship with a porn star, after a series of bad decisions.
Bandera’s lawyer claimed that the star was a prostitute who had slept with Banderis’ co-star, a porn actor named Diego, and that the two of them had sex with Bandersons porn star-girlfriend.
(Both actors later denied that they were prostitutes.)
The two were eventually exonerated, but Banderases life in porn had been ruined.
The film “The Artist” starred Banderras as a young gay man living in Los Angeles who has a crush on a girl named Maria, who happens to be a porn actress.
They fall in love and fall in a relationship, and in a scene where they kiss, Maria kisses Banderjas’ penis.
After the film came out, Banderres’ publicist called the scene “an ugly act of lust and an unprovoked sexual assault.”
(Maria and Banderos have since reconciled.)
Banderás went on to star in films like “Sister Act” and “Sex and the City,” where he starred as a gay man trying to become an actress.
He was nominated for an Oscar for his work on “The Bachelor.”
The industry is still reeling from the fallout from “The Art of Sex,” and Barenas and his collaborators were still struggling with the consequences of the “sad” news about Maria.
“You could see the anger coming from everybody,” Barenás told me, “and you could see this sense of betrayal and anger that everyone was feeling.
I felt it.
I understood that we had made this film about love, but the industry was so much more important to me.”
The Art Of Sex was released in theaters in the summer of 2000, and Banchás went back to Los Angeles, where he was working on a film called “Por favor que sujeto.”
He was shooting at the time in Mexico, and he and his girlfriend decided to rent a house in Mexico City.
Barenases girlfriend had been raped while in the country, and her parents refused to help.
Bares parents moved her out of the country and into Mexico City, where she was living with her boyfriend, a musician.
“The apartment is a very small space,” Bares told me.
“It’s a tiny, dark apartment.
We just have a small room.
There’s a little closet and a little bathroom.
It’s a very intimate place, with very few doors.
The place is very small.
It feels like we’re in a room.
But I have no furniture.
We don’t have a bed.
The mattress is a little thin, and there’s a blanket under the bed.
There is a kitchen, and we have a stove and a refrigerator.
The apartment is very bare.
I can’t go outside because I can only use the bathroom.
And I have to wear a condom because I am a gay actor.”
Barenias girlfriend was pregnant when he moved to Mexico.
Baringa and his partner were working on their second film together, but their girlfriend left them shortly after filming wrapped.
She was pregnant and wanted to have another child.
Bareás and his partners mother and father were furious.
“They had no idea,” Baringas said, “how this would affect me.
I just had to get out.”
Barings parents were also angry.
“I don’t want to have a child with someone who is a prostitute,” Bareras told me as we talked.
“When they see me, they say, ‘Is that what you are?’
They ask me, ‘Did you sleep with Maria?’
I said, ‘No, I did not.’
They say, “You’re not even in love with Maria?
You have no relationship with her?’
I say, and I had never done porn, ‘You are crazy!
You can’t do this.
It doesn’t make sense.’
I said to them, ‘It’s the least you can do.
You’re not going to give us the money to buy the furniture we need, or the food we need to feed our kids.
It is not going in your direction.
You have to get a job, and you’re not getting a job.’
She says, ‘I’m afraid of
