Italian court rules that a hospital in Parma, near Rome, will have to pay the victims of a case where it illegally forced a woman into sex work and abused her children.
The ruling came after a lengthy investigation into the case by the state prosecutor, the Rambuccini newspaper reported, citing court documents.
The woman, named only as Andrea, told the court that she was abused by a doctor and his colleague when she was 13 years old.
She also said that they used a false name to keep her quiet.
The investigation revealed that Andrea was coerced into sex labor and abuse.
Her daughter told the newspaper that she had to move back to Italy from Italy with her mother after her father died.
A second woman also reported being forced into prostitution.
The hospital has been ordered to pay Andrea €50,000 in damages.
